In clinical medicine, infection control is a critical issue. Despite ongoing advancements in medicine, hospital acquired infections (HAIs) remain a major concern for healthcare facilities worldwide. Reducing hospital acquired infections is of significant importance for human health and safety. Gloves are the simplest and most effective measure to prevent hospital-acquired infections, but conventional medical gloves have limitations in mitigating the risk of cross-contamination of pathogens between healthcare providers and patients.
Based on over two decades of research into hospital infection control, Sharklet has developed a variety of medical products such as medical catheters and protective gloves.
